McGill Ridge, a Kamloops apartment community, has a lot to offer its tenants: modern buildings, beautifully designed rental suites with many amenities, and a very convenient location. We like to say we’re “5-Minutes to Everywhere” for good reason. The rest of the city, shopping, services, restaurants, entertainment, and the great outdoors are all close by.

It doesn’t take long to travel from our apartments to hiking, mountain biking, parks, lakes, rivers, golf, tennis courts, and camping.
Hiking
Hiking is a popular weekend pastime for people in Kamloops and you don’t have to go far to hit the trails! There are tens of local trails listed on Google Maps and many are within a 15-minute drive of our apartments.

Mountain Biking
There are over 30 local mountain biking areas listed on Google Maps – several within riding distance or a short drive from our Kamloops apartments including: Kenna Cartwright Nature Park (7-minute drive, 29-minute bike ride), Peterson Creek Park Summit Trailhead (7-minute drive, 26-minute bike ride), Pineview Recreational Trails (8-minute drive, 36-minute bike ride), Rivers Trail (9-minute drive, 19-minute bike ride). There are many more trails within a 30-minute drive!

Golf Courses
Mount Paul Golf Course is a 9-minute drive and Pineridge is 14-minute drive from our Kamloops apartments. If you like disc golf or mini golf, McArthur Island has both within a 15-minute drive of McGill Ridge Apartments.

There are 12 tennis courts (including 2 pickleball courts) listed on the City of Kamloops Parks and Sports field page. Just choose “Tennis” or “Pickleball” from the amenities dropdown menu.

BC Parks search feature lists 9 provincial parks within 50 kilometres of McGill Ridge Apartments. Most have day-use areas, while the following have campgrounds or walk-in wilderness camping:
Paul Lake Provincial Park
Features: campgrounds available by reservation, canoeing, cycling, fishing, hiking, swimming.
Greenstone Mountain Provincial Park
Features: No campgrounds but backpackers can camp if they use no-impact practices, fishing, hiking, cycling.
Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park
Features: Campgrounds available by reservation, canoeing, cycling, fishing, hiking, swimming.
Roche Lake Provincial Park
Features: Campground, walk-in backcountry camping, canoeing, cycling, fishing, hiking.
