Energy-Efficiency Features
Energy Recovery Ventilator
ERVs are installed in each unit. The ERVs are connected to the HVAC system of each unit pulling in fresh, clean air and removing stale, unclean air. In warmer months, ERVs pre-cool and in cooler months they pre-heat fresh air, using a heat exchanger for energy efficiency.
Heat Pump Air Conditioning (AC) Units
Each unit includes heat pump air conditioners which provide an energy-efficient means of cooling. AC units operate efficiently, using the minimal amount of energy required. AC units also include a built-in heater, providing energy-efficient heating in the rooms they are located, complementing traditional electric baseboard heaters.
Air-Barrier System
The building has an enhanced air barrier system installed into the building enclosure (a.k.a. “envelope”) which increases energy efficiency for the entire indoor space, including common areas and residential units, thus reducing energy costs.
